Called the Lower Forty - Under the skin, the Lower Forty is little more than a stock, two-door Wrangler Rubicon with a raucous 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 supplying 380 hp and 404 lb-ft of torque—no suspension lift.

The Lower Forty features a Getrag six-speed manual transmission. Mopar supplied a Dana 44 front axle and a Dana 60 rear axle, both equipped with 5:38 gears and Dynatrac-prepared ARB air lockers.
The Jeep boasts Approach angle of 90 degrees and departure angle of 78 degrees. It rolls on 40x13.5-20 Mickey Thompson Baja Claw on special Mopar Design 20 inch wheels.

I'd substitute the HEMI for a nice diesel. THEN it will be great for off-roading.

The purpose of the project was to add more ground clearance Without the use of a lift kit. So they added the big tires to gain 5 more inches of clearance.

And no diesel is better than a HEMI !!

That Sir is a British Chieftain MBT and has a Leyland L60 gasoline powered motor. :thumright:

I'd take the Hemi over a diesel in my Jeep thank you very much. BUT...i'd take the diesel in my armored vehicle over a gasoline engine.

As usual, Kevin is completely correct, on all counts.

That is the Singaporian Leopard...what give it away is the 2 IR lamps right next to the main caliber :ugeek:

Still, DIESEL RULES! At least for the off-road vehicles.
Nissan Patrol is practically unstoppable if equipped with 4.2L diesel...
However, the only bad thing about it is temperature sensitivity.
In my hometown, there were NO diesel vehicles - diesels don't like
temperatures below -35F. And when it drops below -45... :alien:
